Gilbert Stephens provides advice and assistance to clients and their relatives who require help in connection with mental health law and practice. We believe that it is vital to listen to our clients and to provide representation with sensitivity and understanding. We provide legal representation to clients before the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
We represent clients before the tribunal under all relevant sections of the Mental Health Act 1983 and are happy to travel to represent clients throughout Devon, and to tribunals sitting in Somerset in Taunton, Wellington and Yeovil.
All Tribunal work is undertaken on a public-funded legally aided basis; it is free and non-means tested. Legal Aid is also available for advice and assistance supplied within the office, depending on a client’s financial circumstances.
Tim Willcox heads the Mental Health Law Department and is a member
