Peter was born, raised and educated in Exeter. In 1976 he became a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and subsequently in 1993 he was a founder member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He has worked locally for all his professional career having joined Gilbert Stephens in 2002 as Senior Private Client Legal Executive. He specialises in private client matters particularly the preparation of Wills, Inheritance Tax planning and estate administration.

He continues to live in Exeter and is married to Angela. Peter has two adult children, Nicola a full time mother and Mathew who is a civil engineer , and three grandchildren. His interests include walking, cycling and golf. He has been an active member of the Exeter Golf and Country Club for over 25 years and has served on a variety of committees within the club. Other interests include cooking and he and Angel are always on the look out for new local restaurants.
